Water Slide Rentals

Beat the heat with thrilling inflatable water slides for pool parties, summer events, and backyard fun

Nothing beats a water slide on a hot summer day. Inflatable water slides are the most popular warm-weather party rental, turning any backyard into a water park. From gentle kiddie slides to towering dual-lane racers, there's a water slide for every age group and event size.

Water slides work by connecting a standard garden hose to the top of the slide, creating a continuous stream of water that keeps the surface slick and fast. Most units include a splash pool or soft landing zone at the bottom. They can be set up on grass, and some models work on flat concrete or asphalt too.

JumpFun makes it easy to find the perfect water slide for your event. Compare options from multiple local vendors, see real photos and exact dimensions, and book online. Most vendors offer delivery and setup as part of the rental.

Water Slide Safety Tips

Feet-First Only

Riders must always go down feet-first on their back or seated. Never headfirst or standing.

One Rider at a Time

Only one person should be on the slide at a time. Wait until the previous rider has cleared the splash zone.

Constant Adult Supervision

An adult must watch the slide and splash area at all times. Water + kids always requires close attention.

No Running on Wet Surfaces

The area around the slide will be wet and slippery. Remind kids to walk, not run, around the unit.

Remove Jewelry & Accessories

Earrings, necklaces, and sharp accessories can catch on the slide material and cause injury.

Apply Sunscreen

Kids in water slides are exposed to direct sun. Apply waterproof sunscreen before and during the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — most inflatable water slides have a built-in splash pool or soft landing zone at the bottom. You just need a standard garden hose connected to the slide. No pool required.

Water slides use a continuous flow from a garden hose, similar to running a sprinkler. Usage is typically 50–100 gallons per hour depending on the slide size. Most households can run them without any issues.

Some water slides can be used dry, but the experience isn't as smooth or fun. The water acts as a lubricant — without it, kids may get friction burns. If you want a dry slide, consider a bounce and slide combo instead.

Most water slides are designed for kids ages 5 and up. Smaller water slides work for ages 3+. Very tall slides (18 feet+) are typically recommended for ages 8+ or teens. Check each listing for the manufacturer's age recommendation.

Grass is ideal — it's soft and allows for staking. Some water slides can also go on concrete or asphalt with sandbag anchoring, but a splash mat or tarp is recommended to protect the bottom of the unit.

Water collects in the splash pool and eventually overflows onto the surrounding grass. For driveways, the water will drain naturally. Place the slide where runoff won't cause issues (away from foundations and gardens).
